Inspired by a happy ending.
Sentences for the Sentenced is a donation program inspired by a past client of ours that told us a book sent to him changed his life for the better. We don’t often hear about the happy endings in our line of business, so we decided to help create a few.
While forgotten by most in the digital age, it’s been proven that books, newspapers, and magazines are imperative to education and the development of one’s mind. Inmates have little resources to access to these educational materials. The Connecticut Department of Correction will not allow family and friends to send books into the facilities, but you can if it comes directly from a company, such as ordering it from Amazon.
The literature can be of various genres and topics, with some restrictions. The reading materials we send to prisoners span a multitude of genres, providing them with much needed mental relief in the form of a literary escape.
